Responsible Gambling

CLARO is a data tool. It is not a substitute for personal judgment. Sports betting carries real financial and personal risk, and arbitrage betting in particular requires discipline, capital, and awareness of how each sportsbook treats your activity.

If you or someone you know is struggling with gambling, the resources below are free and confidential.

Warning signs

Problem gambling can develop gradually. Watch for any of the following in yourself or someone you care about:

  • Betting more than you can afford to lose, or chasing losses with bigger bets.
  • Hiding the amount you bet or lying about gambling activity.
  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund bets.
  • Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when you try to cut back.
  • Neglecting work, family, or sleep to keep betting.
  • Believing that the next bet will fix the previous loss.

CLARO's role

CLARO surfaces information. It does not place bets, hold funds, or take a position on any market. The decision to wager — and the responsibility for that decision — sits with you. If gambling is causing harm in your life, the right move is to step back and use the resources above. The opportunities will still be there later. You won't be.

Setting your own limits

Most licensed sportsbooks offer self-exclusion tools, deposit limits, time-out periods, and reality checks. Use them. CLARO has no way to enforce limits on your behalf — that lives at the book level.
